Hey guys,
I was just wondering what science courses you have taken to fulfill the science requirement, and which ones you would most recommend.
I took Earth Sciences 089: Geology, Art, History and Culture this semester, and it has SUCKED. The material is interesting enough (if you're into rocks), but the prof is terrible.
I'm looking to take my last .5 science credit next semester, and I want to have a prof who can teach something in a reasonably engaging way--or at least have a sense of humour and approachability. This Stott guy is a stiff!
Help, help, help!

i took Earth 88f/g Forensic methods - which is supposed to be like the other basic earth ones but with more thinking and less memorization, but it turned out to be thinking about things I didn't want to really think about anyhow, the assignments may as well have been just memorization and regurgitation, but there were more words involved. The professor Cam Tsujita wasn't too bad within lecture, but he talked alot about rocks, you know. We still had to learn a bunch about chemicals and mineral names and formulas, but we also had other independant-ish things to research which meant searching through websites created by rock enthusiasts In hindsight i woud've taken one of the other earth 21 or 23 etc basic things so that I would've had a textbook for studying, and I wouldn't have to think very much at all just follow intructions. The course taught me that thinking should be kept in the realms that are guided by arts professors.

try out origins of the universe. pretty easy stuff and easy to study for. i was able to snag an A in it, and that means it's dead easy.
